About Us
Tailored Homes Property Management was born out of the desire to take a tailored approach to property management - one that puts people first. We noticed that most professional property management companies serving York County, South Carolina and surrounding areas have been failing to keep up with the changing expectations of home owners, investors and tenants. Many companies have been taking their owners for granted and even locking them into long term contracts that are nearly impossible to terminate. Others seemed to focus exclusively on owner ROI at the expense of tenant satisfaction - in our opinion, a short sighted approach.
We operate by the belief that by serving our residents well, we will attract high quality tenants. And we know that tenants who are happy take better care of our clients’ homes and stay in the homes longer, improving long term return on investment for our owner clients. One of our greatest desires is to serve our residents until they are ready to become home owners who eventually trust us to rent their own homes.
Unlike other property management start ups that are moving in from out of state or owned by private equity firms, Tailored staff are first and foremost members of the community. We strive to be experts in our market so we only provide our professional property management services in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Clover, York, Lake Wylie and immediately surrounding areas.We live where our tenants, owners, and vendors live and will bump into them at the grocery store, on the ball field or at local events. This means we have a lot more at stake in taking care of our stakeholders than just a bottom line!
Tailored was established in 2025, but we’re not new to property management or running a successful business. One advantage to being new is that we can take advantage of new technology and best in breed approaches to property management that older property management firms can’t. Whitney Whitesides
Co-Founder | VP of Property Management
Whitney is a seasoned property management professional with over 16 years of experience in residential real estate operations. Throughout her career, she has managed approximately 800 doors and has personally overseen portfolios as large as 450 units at a time. Over the past five years, she has maintained an average vacancy rate of 5% or lower, consistently surpassed economic occupancy targets, and increased rental revenue by 30% between 2017 and 2024.
Jessica Adamson
Co-Founder | Chief Executive Officer
Jessica brings more than 20 years of executive and operational leadership experience to her role as co-founder of Tailored. With a proven track record in developing systems that scale, and driving sustainable growth, Jessica plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and ensuring operational excellence. Jessica’s career includes founding and leading a successful education technology company, where she grew the team from startup stage to over 80 employees and oversaw a 10x return to investors through a strategic acquisition.
